About
Bexley Islamic Centre (BIC) is a registered
charitable organisation (Charity No. 1211089) established to serve the
religious, educational, social and community needs of Muslims and the wider
community in Welling and the surrounding areas of the London Borough of Bexley
and Kent. The Centre’s charitable objectives include advancing the Islamic
faith through facilities for religious worship, religious education, community
services, educational programmes, gatherings, lectures, events and charitable
activities. Our Centre is
located 10 Min walk from Welling train station.
BIC has worked to establish a permanent, accessible
and welcoming community facility at 3 Park View Road, Welling, Kent, DA16
1SY. The premises are intended to serve as a local place of worship and as
a centre for religious learning, community engagement and charitable
activities. The Centre aims to provide a supportive environment in which
individuals and families can practise their faith, access educational
opportunities, develop social connections and participate in activities that
benefit the local community.
The Centre’s activities include the provision of
daily congregational prayers and Friday prayers, Islamic and Qur’anic education
for children and adults, classes and activities for sisters, and programmes
during Ramadan and other important occasions in the Islamic calendar. BIC also
seeks to provide community events, educational workshops and inclusive
activities that bring people together, encourage mutual understanding and
address the needs of different age groups within the community.
BIC recognises that a community centre should
contribute not only to the religious life of its users but also to community
cohesion, personal development and social wellbeing. Its wider programme therefore
seeks to encourage participation by children, young people, adults, older
people, women and families, while fostering values of compassion, respect,
inclusion, service and mutual support.

Things We Are Doing
We're on a Mission to
solve the problems and gain resources for a new generation.
Mosque Development
A mosque, or masjid, is more than just a place of worship; it is the heart of a Muslim community. Developing a mosque ensures it meets the spiritual, educational, and social needs of its congregation while fostering a sense of unity and service.
Build One Ummah
The concept of Ummah represents a global Muslim community united by faith, values, and a shared commitment to Allah. Building One Ummah is a profound goal that transcends borders, cultures, and languages, fostering a sense of unity, solidarity, and collective responsibility among Muslims worldwide.
Madrasa Development
Madrasas play a vital role in shaping the moral, spiritual, and intellectual development of communities. They are institutions dedicated to imparting Islamic education, along with essential knowledge that prepares students for life. Developing madrasas ensures they remain relevant, accessible, and effective in nurturing future generations.
Quran Learning
The Quran, Islam's holy book, is a divine guide for Muslims worldwide. Learning the Quran is not merely an academic pursuit but a spiritual journey that connects believers to their Creator, Allah. The Quran offers profound teachings on faith, morality, and daily life, serving as a timeless source of wisdom and guidance.
